Nicholas Nickleby Quote Cards

Sending a virtual greeting card is easy and free. Just follow the instructions at each step along the way. After you have completed the card, you will be shown a preview. If you do not like your card, you may edit it and then send it, or just cancel the request. When you send a card the recipient will receive e-mail advising where to find the card.

A skilful flatterer is a most delightful companion, if you can keep him all to yourself, his taste becomes very doubtful when he takes to complimenting other people.
Gold, for the instant, lost its luster in his eyes, for there were countless treasures of the heart which it could never purchase.
Love, however, is very materially assisted by a warm and active imagination: which has a long memory, and will thrive, for a considerable time, on very slight and sparing food.
The rain and hail pattered against the glass; the chimneys quaked and rocked; the crazy casement rattled with the wind, as though an impatient hand inside were striving to burst it open. But no hand was there, and it opened no more.
