There was one aspect of WordPress that I had a rough time with at first. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to add a photo. Like anything else in life once you know how it’s easy.
Log into WordPress and begin to write a page or a post. (For the difference between the two see this article. ) Below the area where you’re working (the editor) you’ll notice an upload area. That’s where you’ll upload your photos.
Browse to your photo, give it a short title, a short description, hit upload and you’re ready to go. If you have a newer version of WordPress things are fairly straight forward. You’re given some choices you click the ones you want and then click on “Send to editor”. The software pops your photo into the text. No problem.
If you have an older version of WordPress you may be presented with something that looks like this:
“What in the world am I supposed to do here?” you ask yourself. I know because that’s what I wondered when presented with this situation. Here’s what you do, click on the photo and then a box pops up over the photo. Click on the buttons until you have the configuration that you want and then click on “send to editor”. Again, that pops the photo into the text.
And there you have it. Like I said, it’s easy once you know how.
