WordPress blogs come with an area known as a blogroll. A blogroll is just hi-tech lingo for a list of links. WordPress comes with sample links installed. You’ll probably want to take those out and put in a list of links of your own. You do that by logging into your dashboard. On newer WordPress installations you’ll manage your blogroll in the Blogroll tab:
In older versions you’ll go to the Links tab.
Either way, that is where you’ll add links, delete links and add categories.
Add Categories you ask? Why would you want to add categories? It can be fun. For example, take a look at the right hand column of this blog. I have two “blogrolls”. One is called “Recommended Products/Services” and the other one is cleverly entitled “Interesting Blogs.”
Say you want to rename “Blogroll” into something more meaningful. On newer installations that’s accomplished in the Manage>Categories area.
On older WordPress installations go to Links>Link Categories.
