Over the holiday weekend I updated this blog to WordPress 2.7. Here are my first impressions:
The dashboard is very different from previous versions but I like it. When the dashboard changed in 2.5 it took me a few sessions to find my way around. With 2.7 I felt comforable very quickly.
I played around with the new plugin functionality. The software allows users to download and install plugins without an FTP application. It worked like a charm.
This version seems to take care of the conflict with the latest version of Flash. I updated to Flash 10 and I can still upload photos.
So far so good. The big test will be when the next version of WordPress comes out. The upgrade process from here on out is supposed to be much easier.
