I may have mentioned that my friend and client, Karen Burns, has written a book. It’s The Amazing Adventures of Working Girl: Real-Life Career Advice You Can Actually Use. What I may have just hinted at, but now am saying boldly, is that you should read it. Why? It’s funny and practical all at once. It’s filled with great advice for people who are starting out as well as for those who are starting over. I’m mentioned in the acknowledgments. OK, that last one isn’t a reason to read it unless your my mother. The main reason that I think it’s a good read is that Karen’s is a voice of common sense and optimism. In today’s working world, those are two qualities that we all need.
