WordPress 3.0.4 – Should You Upgrade?

Yes. Don’t take the risk of running old software with known security issues.

WordPress 3.0.4- Upgrade Information

Remember to back up your WordPress installation before you upgrade. Here’s information on how to backup WordPress. And here’s what the WordPress upgrade will be like. If this is your first upgrade, prepare to be amazed. It’s super easy!

Once you’ve completed the upgrade, take a look at your site and make sure that everything still works. Sometimes plugins may have problems with the new WordPress software. Don’t worry though, most of the time things will be just fine. If you do discover a problem turn off the plugin and email the developer of the plugin about the issue. They should be able to upgrade their plugin to work with the new software.
