WordPress 3.9 was released yesterday. There’s good news and bad news about this new version. Let’s start with the bad news. I’m seeing a lot of conflicts between WordPress 3.9 and themes and plugins. Here’s a short list:
- The Weaver II and Aspen themes need to be updated before you migrate to WP 3.9
- There’s a possible problem with the WP-PageNavi plugin
- Problem viewing ShortCodes icon
My advice right now is to wait about a week until theme and plugin makers have updates for all the conflicts. If you encounter a problem despite waiting, here’s a troubleshooting guide from ProPlogger. You can also contact me. I’d be happy to help.
And what’s the good news? Once you update to WordPress 3.9 you’ll find some nice features.
