Last week a customer contacted us because of a problem on his website. After the WordPress 4.3 update there were PHP error messages at the top of his website. These error messages were on all the pages of the site. Needless to say, it wasn’t the image he wanted to project to his customers.
WordPress 4.3 no longer allows some previously popular coding methods. I suspected that was the problem in this case. Looking at the site’s code confirmed my suspicions. The theme had built-in plugins that weren’t updated for the 4.3 coding changes. We updated the plugin code and the error messages went away.
