Sorry, but I’m not finding DreamHost so dreamy today.

I have a client running aMember 4 on a shared DreamHost account.  Dreamhost has a security bot that scans the server for hacked files.  The bot keeps identifying the aMember software license as a hacked file and they disable the file.  Then aMember stops working.

If this happens to you, you can:

  • Contact DreamHost and ask them to restore the file
  • Restore the file yourself from a copy of the software. (If you haven’t made a copy of the software this would be a good time to do that.)
  • Ask aMember for help

I’ve contacted DreamHost and asked them to whitelist the aMember license file. Hopefully they’ll do that soon.
